 | Number of years paddling: 6 Why did you start paddling? My old company was recruiting and I thought I should give it a try. Six years later, I am still paddling and still loving it because I get to meet extremely nice and sometimes interesting people! Best part about being on Jetstart: The craziness of the team, non-stop laughing when on the road. The coach/captain who pushes you to reach your full potential and challenges you. The surprises’ of “Oh yeah you are registered to run a 10K Mud Run, HBC etc.” And oh yeah the travelling. Since joining Jetstart, I have been all over the place I’ve travelled to Hong Kong, China, Germany, Austria, France, Mexico, all over United States (LA, San Francisco, San Diego, Houston and Florida). With Jetstart you never know where you are going to be next. Lastly, practicing once a week which enable us to balance other things in our life and be competitive at the same time. Most memorable moment: Beating the Australian team in a 10-men boat in China and won bronze medal as well as in the 3000m. Winning the Stanley Cup in Hong Kong, breaking the 10 year jinx in San Francisco by having all Canadian team came in 1st, 2nd and 3rd and singing Oh Canada on stage. The 27-hour train ride in China (seems endless), human pyramid in Great Wall of China, “Kitchen” dance off and mechanical bull ride in Vancouver, 10K run in Munich and Los Angeles finishing at both Olympic Stadium, Alain dropping me and Joe in the middle of nowhere in San Francisco and tried to get back to the hotel while encountering “very, very interesting people on the bus” and “Oh my Gawd!” run for your life Tijuana, Mexico border to San Diego and cutting through 500 people thinking there is a tourist line and…”any alcohol to declare? Ah yes one bottle, so what’s this one? Opppsss….lol….and finally having a second family on and off the boat. GOOD TIMES PEOPLE!!!!!!! Favourite hobbies: Sleeping, eating, running, sleeping, eating, making fun of Alain and Sop, sleeping, eating, roller bladding and tennis. |
