Jetstart capped off another wonderful season at the San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival.
The competition was very strong, but the team held their own. In the end, Jetstart earned 2nd in the Competitive A Division Championship, finishing behind the U-23 Canadian National team, One West. Jetstart also finished 2nd in the Visiting Team Championship. In the gender races, the Jetstart men teamed up with the men from One West and earned 1st in the Mens Championship, while the women from Jetstart, One West and Cal teamed up to take 1st in the Womens Championship. Last but certainly not least, the Masters team also pulled an impressive 1st in the Masters Championship.
One West: Congratulations to you guys! It was a pleasure paddling with and against you.
Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, madame starter, the marshalling crew, and all the other teams for a fantastic festival.
Way to go, Jetstart!

It was an exciting day of racing at this year's Woodstock Dragon Boat Festival. The team raced very well, even pulling a 1:57 in the first heat to win the prized Dragon Cake.
In the last 500m race, the team had a slight mishap and finished 2nd in the A Division Final by 0.02 seconds. Determined to rebound from our own mistake, Jetstart stormed back by earning 1st in the 2000m Race. In the 8-boat race, the team passed 6 boats (almost catching the seventh boat), finishing with a time of 9:58.
Congratulations to all teams. Great paddling, Jetstart!
